"A Wedding Song"

Duo for Oboe and Piano

This was originally written for me to play at a friend of mine's wedding. Now, about a year later, I figured why not make it available to anyone who might want to try it?

The work was meant to be short and sweet (in more ways than one!) and, naturally had to contain a few familiar melodies that are most commonly associated with weddings. Also influencing my composition was Wolf-Ferrari's "Idillio Concertino," mainly because, at the time, I'd been practicing it just to have something to do during the long break between orchestra seasons.
