 | Looking up the stairs towards one of the back bedrooms.
 | The back of the house - the scratch-coat is on (the first layer of cement making up the rendering).
 | The ceiling's going on downstairs. Lots of cabling runs between the floors.
 | A little while later...the top half of the house has the smooth top coat of rendering on, and has been painted!
 | And the downstairs has a ceiling!
 | And a new window.
 | Plus a new breaker box for all the electrical stuff. None of that puny 115v stuff you have in the USA, this is real man's electricity, all 240 volts. We don't need no stinking separate funny socket for the tumble dryer!
 | New glass for the front windows.
 | Window frames for the front upstairs.
 | The front with a new door and two new windows. This will be smooth rendered when the scaffolding's moved out here.
 | We discovered that the chimney wasn't too good when we went to sweep it, and found yet more things that needed fixing on the roof. (The chimney was held together by the rendering...) So the chimney's being fixed. J.C. is on the roof putting the lead soakers in.
 | An example of JC's lead work. He's the plumber, but it also turns out he does roofing.
 | New chimney pots. The things in the middle are coins.
 | Looking south down the street.
 | Looking north towards the school and South Barrule.
 | Another look at the whole chimney.
 | Standing on the next door neigbour's roof.
 | Some lead ready to be installed.
 | This is what the roof looks like with the lead soakers all installed.
 | Looking towards Port Erin from the other side of the roof.
 | Another look at the whole chimney.
 | I've just got done painting the wall on the left. Looking out towards the west.
 | Open source building materials :-) (Sorry, you have to be a geek to get it!)
 | Up in the loft...the darkroom wall is going in.
